A new apartment created on the top floor of the “Marmalade Fabrik” an existing warehouse in Köpernicker Straβe fronting the River Spree in Berlin. The 100m 2 living space is designed to provide flexibility for open plan living with a 50 m2 outdoor terrace. Sculpted white and chrome porcelain bathroom fittings are contrasted against basalt walls and light diffuses through translucent glass screens.

The apartment has achieves energy efficiency with a highly insulated envelope, benefit from solar gains combined with under floor heating and the high thermal mass in the existing masonry walls and floors. Fittings use water saving technology and energy efficient lamps.
